About the Do Dham Yatra Destinations

Kedarnath Temple — The Sacred Jyotirlinga

One of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located at 3,583 metres near the Mandakini River. The temple is approximately 500 metres from the Kedarnath helipad. Due to high altitude, pilgrims access Kedarnath via shuttle helicopter from Sersi, Phata, or Guptkashi. The present temple was established by Adi Shankaracharya. During winter, the idol is transferred to Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath.

Badrinath Temple — The Abode of Lord Vishnu

One of the four original Char Dham Yatra, located at 3,133 metres on the banks of the Alaknanda River. Established by Adi Shankaracharya, this temple is reached by car from Badrinath Helipad. Pilgrims may optionally visit Mana Village, the last inhabited village before the India-China border. The temple remains open from late April to mid-November.

Sersi Helipad — Kedarnath Shuttle Base

Sersi is the primary helipad for Kedarnath shuttle services. Our ground team manages check-in, breakfast, and shuttle boarding coordination. The shuttle flight from Sersi to Kedarnath takes approximately 7–10 minutes.

Why Accretion Aviation's Do Dham Package Costs ₹1,75,000

We know you can find cheaper Do Dham helicopter packages online. Here is what the ₹1,75,000 price includes that budget operators do not offer:

  • Ground team at every helipad — Kharsali, Sersi, Guptkashi, Phata, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. You are never handed off to third-party vendors.
  • All meals included — Breakfast, lunch, and dinner (vegetarian) at every stop. No surprise food bills.
  • VIP darshan at both temples — Priority queue access at Kedarnath and Badrinath. Budget packages make you wait in general lines.
  • Shuttle helicopter at Kedarnath — Included in the price. Some operators charge extra for the Sersi–Kedarnath shuttle.
  • Airport pickup and drop in Dehradun — Complimentary transfer from Dehradun airport/railway station.
  • DGCA-certified helicopters and pilots — Bell 407, AS 350 B3, Eurocopter EC 130. Experienced high-altitude pilots, not trainee crews.
  • Medical assistance and oxygen support — Available at all helipads for elderly pilgrims.
  • Transparent pricing — no hidden costs — What we quote is what you pay. GST included.

Total value if booked separately: Helicopter tickets (₹1,20,000) + Hotels (₹25,000) + Meals (₹15,000) + VIP darshan (₹8,000) + Transfers (₹5,000) + Shuttle (₹12,000) = ₹1,85,000+. Our all-inclusive package at ₹1,75,000 saves you money and removes all coordination hassle.

Which temples are covered?

The package covers Shri Kedarnath Temple and Shri Badrinath Temple.

How many days are required?

The package is designed as a 3-night/4-day journey, including arrival and briefing in Dehradun.

Is the Do Dham helicopter package suitable for senior citizens?

The package can reduce long road travel and includes ground assistance, making it convenient for many senior citizens. However, Kedarnath and Badrinath are high-altitude destinations, so travellers with cardiac, respiratory or other medical conditions should obtain appropriate medical advice before the journey.

How much luggage can I carry?

The package currently allows 2 kg of luggage per passenger. Carry only essential items in the approved baggage because helicopter load limits are strictly controlled.

Is there a passenger weight limit?

The standard passenger weight considered for the package is up to 75 kg per person. Additional charges may apply for weight above the prescribed limit, subject to aircraft load planning and operator policy. Please share accurate passenger weights at the time of booking.

Can I book a Do Dham Yatra by helicopter from Phata?

The complete 3-night/4-day Do Dham package starts from Dehradun. Phata may be used as a base helipad for the Kedarnath shuttle sector depending on operations, but it is not the starting point of this full package.

What happens if flights are delayed because of weather?

Helicopter operations in Uttarakhand depend on weather, visibility, air traffic and operational permissions. The itinerary may therefore change, and passengers should keep reasonable flexibility in their onward travel plans.

How can I make a Do Dham helicopter booking?

Share your preferred travel date, number of passengers and passenger details with Accretion Aviation. Our team will check availability, explain the itinerary, inclusions, passenger-weight rules, payment schedule and applicable booking terms before confirmation.

Is ₹1,75,000 the complete Do Dham helicopter package price?

The listed price is ₹1,75,000 per person for the 3-night/4-day package. Confirm the final inclusions, passenger-weight charges and any optional services for your selected travel date before making payment.

Does the package include the Kedarnath shuttle helicopter?

Yes, the current package includes the Kedarnath shuttle helicopter sector as part of the planned itinerary.

What is the difference between a same-day Do Dham flight and this 3N/4D package?

Same-day packages focus on completing Kedarnath and Badrinath in one day, while this package includes accommodation, meals, ground support and a slower 3-night/4-day itinerary designed for greater comfort.

How early should I book the Do Dham helicopter package?

Availability can be limited during peak pilgrimage dates. Booking earlier gives you a better chance of securing your preferred travel date, but final schedules remain subject to helicopter operations and weather conditions.

Can I customize the Do Dham helicopter itinerary?

Yes. While the standard 4-day Do Dham itinerary is optimised for helicopter logistics and temple schedules, we can accommodate minor customisations such as extra nights at Kedarnath or Badrinath, special puja arrangements, or private charter groups. Contact our team at +91-9575340786 to discuss customised Do Dham helicopter packages.

What happens if I miss a helicopter flight during the Do Dham Yatra?

If you miss a scheduled flight due to personal delay, our ground team at the helipad will coordinate the next available shuttle. However, missing flights may affect your darshan schedule and hotel bookings. We strongly recommend arriving at each helipad 30 minutes before the reported time. Weather-related delays are managed by our operations team at no extra cost.

Is there a single-occupancy option for the Do Dham package?

The standard ₹1,75,000 price is based on twin-sharing hotel accommodation at Kedarnath and Badrinath. Single-occupancy rooms are available at an additional charge depending on hotel availability. Please request single occupancy at the time of booking so we can confirm availability and pricing before your Do Dham helicopter Yatra.

What is the mobile network coverage during Do Dham Yatra?

Mobile network coverage is limited at high-altitude dhams. BSNL has the widest coverage in the Garhwal Himalayas, followed by Jio at select locations. Airtel and Vodafone-Idea coverage is patchy. We recommend carrying a BSNL SIM or relying on hotel Wi-Fi where available. Our ground team carries satellite communication for emergencies.

Are there any photography restrictions at Kedarnath and Badrinath temples?

Photography inside the main sanctum of Kedarnath and Badrinath temples is strictly prohibited. You can take photos in the outer temple courtyards and surrounding areas. Drones are not permitted near any temple or helipad due to DGCA regulations. Please respect local customs and follow instructions from temple authorities and our ground staff.

Can I book a private helicopter charter for Do Dham Yatra?

Yes. Private helicopter charters are available for families and groups who prefer exclusive aircraft usage. This eliminates waiting for other passengers and offers flexible scheduling. Private charters are priced differently from the standard per-person package. Contact +91-9575340786 for private Do Dham helicopter charter rates and availability.

What is the refund policy if the Do Dham Yatra is cancelled due to weather?

If the entire Do Dham Yatra is cancelled before departure due to adverse weather or government restrictions, we offer a full refund minus a 10% processing fee. If the Yatra is cancelled mid-journey due to weather, a pro-rata refund is provided for the remaining unflown sectors and unused hotel nights. Force majeure cancellations are rescheduled at no extra cost.

How do I prepare physically for the Do Dham helicopter Yatra?

The Do Dham helicopter Yatra minimises physical strain, but pilgrims still walk 500–800 metres at Kedarnath. We recommend light walking exercise 2–3 weeks before departure. Carry personal medicines, consult your doctor if you have heart or respiratory conditions, and inform our team of any medical requirements at booking. The shuttle helicopter and car transfers make this package accessible for most fitness levels.

What is the difference between Do Dham helicopter and Do Dham road Yatra?

The Do Dham road Yatra from Dehradun takes 5–6 days by car with long drives on mountain roads. The Do Dham helicopter Yatra completes both temples in 4 days with minimal road travel. The helicopter route includes VIP darshan, all meals, luxury hotels, and ground support — services that are self-arranged on the road route. Senior citizens and time-constrained pilgrims strongly prefer the helicopter option.

Can I visit Triyuginarayan Temple during the Do Dham helicopter Yatra?

Triyuginarayan Temple, the celestial marriage site of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, is located near Kedarnath. While it is not part of the standard Do Dham helicopter itinerary, our ground team can arrange a car visit from Guptkashi or Sersi on Day 2 or Day 3 if time and weather permit. This requires advance request at the time of booking and may incur additional charges.

What is the best time of day for Kedarnath darshan?

The best time for Kedarnath darshan is early morning (5:00–7:00 AM) when the temple is less crowded and the weather is clearest. Our helicopter schedule is designed to reach Kedarnath by mid-morning, allowing ample time for darshan before afternoon weather changes. VIP darshan arranged by Accretion Aviation significantly reduces waiting time regardless of the hour.

Is there a waiting list if the Do Dham helicopter package is fully booked?

Yes. During peak season (May–June), our Do Dham helicopter slots fill up 3–4 weeks in advance. If your preferred dates are fully booked, we maintain a waiting list and notify you immediately if cancellations open up slots. We recommend booking as early as possible and keeping 2–3 alternative date ranges flexible for better availability.

Do Dham Helicopter Booking — Payment & Cancellation Policy

Booking: 50% advance payment required to confirm your seats. Balance due 30 days before departure.
Cancellation: Full refund minus 10% processing fee if cancelled 30+ days before departure. 50% refund if cancelled 15–30 days before. No refund if cancelled within 14 days of departure. Weather-related cancellations are rescheduled at no extra charge.
Weight Policy: Normal limit is 75 kg per person including clothing. Accurate weight must be provided at booking. Passengers exceeding 75 kg may incur additional charges or seat adjustments.
Buffer Day: We strongly recommend keeping one buffer day at the end of your schedule. Mountain weather in the Garhwal Himalayas can change rapidly, and flights are rescheduled only when safe.
